Kakoulide New Heavens and New Earth

Excerpt

First we will look at the Letters to the Seven Churches of Asia where Jesus makes some promises that has to do with the New Heavens and New Earth which we will compare with the Old & New Testament & then We will take a commentary Study on Revelation 20 & 21 Where This Topic will be examine in Great Length.

Part 1 What is Promises given to Us about the New Heavens & New Earth

1st Promise We are told That we will eat of the Tree of Life that is in the Midst of the Paradise of God.

(Revelation 2:7) ……To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the

tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God.”‘  (NKJV)

Adam & Eve was forbidden to eat of this tree or else they would live forever .

(Genesis 3:22-24) Then the LORD God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, to know good and evil. And now, lest he put out his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever” – therefore the LORD God sent him out of the garden of Eden to till the ground from which he was taken. So He drove out the man; and He placed cherubim at the east of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of life. (NKJV)

But here we are told in the Book of Revelation this tree would be in our access to eat from not just once but four times . Once in Revelation 2 and the other 3 times in chapters 22 in the following verses:

Rev 22:2 in the midst of the street thereof. And on this side of the river and on that was the tree of life, bearing twelve manner of fruits, yielding its fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

Rev 22:14 Blessed are they that wash their robes, that they may have the right to come to the tree of life, and my enter in by the gates into the city.

Some Bibles for verse 19 will have Book of Life instead of Tree of Life like YLT, SRV18, KJV, MKJV, NKJV This is because Some translations are translated from different Manuscripts one using one word the others using a different word . These are the two different words used depending on the translation you are reading from:

The First is from Novum Testamentum Graece, 26th Ed The second is from the Scriverners Textus Receptus 1894

Rev 22:19 and if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the tree of life, and out of the holy city, which are written in this book. (ASV)

We are also told by these verses that this tree bares leaves that will bring healing to the Nations (Gentiles)

And in the Book of Isaiah we are told that the life of the elect (God’s chosen people) in the New Heavens and New Earth will be like the life of a tree most likely the Tree of Life is in reference:

(Isaiah 65:22) …….For as the days of a tree, so shall be the days of

My people, And My elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands.  (NKJV)

2nd Promise We are told that the second Death will not effect us . That means we will not be victim of the Lake of Fire .

In this class, Treasury of Scripture Knowledge we show you what is and how to use TSK, Treasury of Scripture Knowledge. This work is simply a commentary of all the verses in the Bible where the author has gone through hundreds if not thousands of English study Bibles, and he has added whatever Bible references each of those Bibles had on that particular verse. As a pastor making sermons, this excellent reference tool within theWord can help you generate a very excellent sermon in a minimum of time and effort. This will leave you with a lot of extra time to pursue illustrations, commentary explanations, making structure and outline of the sermon, etc. It is a God send for preachers, really! Pastor David Cox
