In this 8 Chapter work, Torrey presents us with the Divine names, attributes, and offices that are applied to Jesus. Other chapters are the equivalence of Jesus and Jehovah, the linkage between Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, Worship to be given to the Son, and incidental proofs.
The Guided life by George Body is a shorter 5 chapter work looking at the Holy Spirit guiding us by the way of contrition, then Sanctity, then Ministry, and finally by the way of Patience.
In Smith Wigglesworth, a Pentecostal author, he presents us with elements which increase our faith. Note that this author is a famous “father” of the name-it and claim-it Prosperity Gospel. While I personally do not endorse this position, his work is included for research purposes. How to grow our faith is the issue here, and while not everything he presents may be correct, there are ideas here that one has to evaluate to see if they have some validity.
Alexander, Archibald – A Brief Compend of Bible Truth
William Burt Pope’s Compendium of Christian Theology is a work different from other theologies. He is definitely reformed in his view, but his presentation of the doctrines is not “standard” all the way around. For example, the names of the Redeemer, he doesn’t just give us a list of names, but a treatment of the idea in general.
Charles Hodge’s great systematic theology work is a well known Reformed/Calvinist theology. It is extensive.
In Warfield’s work on the Holy Spirit, the Power of God unto Salvation, he presents 8 chapters using passages for each chapter. He looks at how the Holy Spirit works in Salvation to bring us to a saving relationship with Christ.
