This is an extensive “life of Christ” by William E. Barton. Barton His Life The outlne is extensive, but actually something like Edersheim’s work, The Life and of Jesus Christ the Messiah is much better and more extensive. No verse references anywhere in this work.
Horatius Bonar’s work the Rent Veil is about the thick veil in the temple in Jerusalem between the holy of holies and where the people came to present sacrifices. On the moment of Christ’s death, it was rent in two. This represents the division between God and man because of sin. Christ fixed it with his death on the cross.
Life and Times takes Jesus the Messiah, and examines the New Testament teaching in light of Jewish history and culture
In Glover’s work on the Jesus of History, he explores the life of Christ. Note that he has some really interesting topics such as Jesus’ teaching on Sin, and Christ’s use of the Old Testament. Some others are Jesus’ Own God Consciousness, Jesus is to be known by what he does, and Jesus’ personality.
