This page presents Christian works about the Canon of Scripture, specifically, considerations and discussions about which books are included in the classification of a divine revelation, and those that are not divinely inspired. While any author can say that they had an inspiration from God, this is not the same thing as being in the canon. John Bunyan’s Pilgrims Progress is not divinely inspired in this sense, though it is an excellent Christian work that can encourage a believer. The classification of being in the Canon is reserved for only those works which God has specifically guaranteed that every word is correct and kept correct by the Holy Spirit. Note that some of these works may deal with the books of the Apocrypha, which is not part of the Canon.
