I am uploading around 200-700 new works in theWord Module format every month. If you have been visiting our site regularly, there are a lot of them. I see no stopping at this point. I want to continue. I have thousands more files waiting on my hard disk to upload. So I will continue with this as the Lord permits.
My suggestion to you is to approach the resources that I am making available in two different approaches.
(1) Working on a Specific Subject
Say you are working on the topic like the Holy Spirit. I would suggest that you go to that topic page, and download, hand-picking what you like or want to investigate further. Please check dcoxlibrary.org where I am gathering (from time-to-time) groups of theWord modules and making a zip pack from them. That is a good place where to start. From there, unzip them and open a file browser in Windows, and go to the same topic page here and on thewordmodules.com to the Holy Spirit topics page.
I highly recommend that you take the time to download, install and learn how to use the Windows file manager, Totalcommander. This program is freeware by a guy named Gishler, gishler.com. Note that this software is free, full features in the free version, but you have a popup each time before you can use it with 3 buttons, 1, 2, 3. It tells you to select button number x, and clicking on that button, you get full use of the program. But if you use it for a while, you will probably want to pay the small amount he wants to get rid of that popup before use. It is worth it.
See my help page on this program, Handling Hundreds of Modules. So if you wanted to make a workshop on the Holy Spirit, open these pages below.
https://thewordmodules.com/holy-spirit-resources
From these pages, you can compare what you already have on your computer and what you don’t have, but what you want.
I would recommend that you investigate the DownThemAll addon to Firefox, where you can easily download all the downloads on a page with one click. It may be a little difficult to get it to work right, but well worth the effort.
Once you have all of that on your hard disk, I would recommend that you NOT INCLUDE THOSE FILES INTO YOUR REGULAR theWord program. Why not?
Because just from what I am offering, you will have thousands of files, and for every new file you add, when you start up theWord, it has to index the entire file, because that is how theWord search will find stuff. That is very good in itself, but if you have tried to add 100 new modules at a time, you better be prepared to go get a cup of coffee or something. Maybe even go out to eat and come back an hour or two later. Do that for 1000 new modules, and it is going to be difficult.
I would recommend that you make a dedicated folder on your hard disk for that study, say, the Holy Spirit. The best path that I see, is to buy a large terabyte external drive and do this work folder on that to keep your hard disk from filling up, but today they have 1 and 2 Terabytes USB drives, so that is also an option. TheWord is a compact program in itself.
At this point, I would recommend that you install a USB theWord installation into that folder on your external hard drive. See how at this link.
My page on my theWord Help Tutorial, theWordtutorial.com I go through the easy steps to install theWord on a USB flash drive. The advantage of this is that when you run theWord from the flash drive installation, it does not read all the modules on your hard drive installation, just those under that folder.
(Note on my tutorial help page that theWord’s regular installation installs new files to one folder, but every time you run theWord, even from a flash USB installation, the program will pick up everything in theWord roaming fold. So if you want Strong’s dictionary or Treasury of Scripture Knowledge, or Greek or Hebrew Bibles available to even your Bible Study Workshop installations, put a copy of those modules in that Roaming folder. I cannot vouch for what will be the actual setup on your system, but my theWord roaming folder on my computer is c:\Users\david\AppData\Roaming\The Word\ )
So this makes it very nice to keep your regular modules isolated from this study folder group. You can do the very same thing using theWord’s Module Sets function. But again, the high bar here is theWord indexing all those modules. Please see this, my help tutorial, below.
But to get new modules that are uploaded, you will need to compare what you have already with the list. I have no way of marking the new module downloads, that I know of. I am studying that point.
(2) Just Download All or Most of What is on this Site
If that is your case, I would recommend that you occasionally review the download pages, and check the archive pages for each month. Every download has an archive month tag, and on the download page for that month’s archives, you will see a list of what was uploaded for that month. Note that this is dynamic. As I upload each file, that tag is set, and it will appear immediately in the monthly archive list. I also periodically search on the administration site of WordPress to make sure all the downloads have that tag set as a second check. These archive pages are where you will see the new modules as they come out. June 2025 Archive List

My Future Plans
For this whole year, I am just really concentrating on getting as much of what I have on my computer up on this site. I am also making new modules from Esword modules and PDF’s (and other formats also).
I am planning to make new pages in the future call “long list” pages, and I want to make a brief 300-word summary of the works or a table of contents, and put many works on each of these pages. They would basically be the title, the summary, and the download link. They would parallel the AA-AL grouping of the downloads. It is a lot of work for me, and although I think it is worth the effort, it will take time.
Since the hackers bringing down my website last summer, I have rebuilt this site basically from scratch starting in December 2024. But the new format is better in my estimation. People can download a lot of works quickly and easily, without the hassles other websites put you through. We are approaching 4000 total works available, and like I mentioned before, I still have a lot of works that I can put up still. We have a total downloads of 1,396,004 at this moment, so I am sure we will probably pass 1.5 million this summer. Maybe 2 million by the end of the year.
