I am working in the W authors and a few scattered other places.
Check https://twmodules.com/archives-for-september-2025/ for recent uploads. Note that I am revising the modules in the W stack, and making sure that they have tw IDs (for an explanation of the need for tw ids, please refer to this previous webmaster note https://twmodules.com/webmaster-updates/notes-7-25-25-version-7-problems/) and are tooltipped. I am changing the name to reflect the id and version 6 status.
My Laptop Problems
On another note, I have been having some problems with my laptop. It is getting old. This past week, I was able to purchase replacement battery to fix the dying on me and not cutting on after that problem. I thank the Lord for that. It still is slow, and when I index my pdfs and other documents looking for information and topics, it typical slows to a crawl to the point it takes 30 seconds to a minute for the screen to update when I move the mouse. This process is indexing 10,000 pdfs in a folder. So the CPU maxes out and the memory. I am not going to fix that problem on this laptop, so I will continue to plan to buy a new computer in the next 6 months to year.
But the new laptop battery cost me $40 dollars online here, and I tried to open the laptop to replace it, but the two halves of the keyboard part wouldn’t separate, so I gave up on that and put it back together. I took it to a computer repair place near my house for that guy to do it. He is not the cheapest place around (downtown Mexico City in the “plaza de Computación” is the cheapest) but still, he charges me a whopping 5 dollars to replace it for me. Like I think to myself (sign of dementia or being crazy when you talk to yourself right?) why am I doing it myself and risking messing up something when I can get it done for $5 by a professional? And again, that is not the cheapest one around here. If I had taken it downtown, I would have probably spent $5 in gas, wasted the whole day and got it for $3 or $4. So that seems a no-brainer to me.
But for the time being, the Lord solved that problem for me. The battery situation is all fixed for about $45 US. Thank the Lord!
