We are back home now, and I am working on this website and my modules for theWord. I have studied some and gotten some new programs to help me find, register, and move my modules from everywhere on my hard drive and also on my 40+ DVDs (I have a BluRay DVD burner, and I have 100GBs DVDs that I have burned to get things off of my hard drive to free up space. I have a terabyte and constantly run out of space).
So the good news is that I am in the slow process of searching across my hard disk and moving theWord modules into my newly created stacks. The bad news is that there is a lot of duplication (sometimes 6 or more versions of the same file). But as I find pockets of modules, I am moving them, and getting them somewhat ready for upload.
But I am showing some 120,000 *.twm modules! So my desire to individually check each one and reformat them is gone now. I just cannot do that in the time that I have left on earth. I am just going to get them up on this site as best as I can. But I am dealing with a lot of files. If you find one that has a problem, even a copyright problem, please send me a note about it with the filename clearly stated in your email. I will check it.
As an example, I found a zip file that I made some time back with 2500+ sermons by Charles H. Spurgeon. Because they were in a zip file that only had “Spurg” as the title, I missed it in other searches. My DVD archiving program is showing 7494 Spurgeon files, and I only hard 3 folders on my hard drive cataloged in this, (not the one with the 2500+ files). This is becoming more of a common thing. I am finding probably 50 Pink works. This is just on my hard disk. On my archive DVDs, it is showing 7,615 files with Pink.
I also have given up on the format of this website. So, I am not going to make posts with the contents of each module. Things are just not going to permit that. I have studied the download plugin (hopefully it won’t give problems like the old one), and I am focusing on a couple of things.
Firstly, I will have stacks pages, one for each letter of the alphabet (based on the author’s last name). These pages will be made by me, but they will be updated every time I upload another module. Since it is a function of the download plugin, I cannot alter that page very much as I would like to do.
Secondly, I will have tags pages, and these I will code in the download so that the download will appear on the tags that pertain to it.
So I have uploaded 26 modules by W.E. Best as a work-in-progress test. It seems to be working well. You can see it on the Ba-Bn Authors page. In the up coming weeks, you will be able to see this site swell with new modules.
So all I can say for now is to please be patient with me. I am working on things, but a lot of what I am doing is manual work, not automated, and it is taking time.
