Dispensationalism believes that God deals with man in different dispensations, and these dealings vary accordingly. An ultra-dispensationalist would carry this out excessively, making dispensation within the New Testament that many Dispensationalists would disagree with.

While there are other men who have held to this position and promoted it, E.W. Bullinger is either an excellent example of this theological position or is the very founder of it.
